Abiding Place Ministries World Missions
Reaching Today’s Youth. Empowering Tomorrow’s Leaders.
ABOUT US
William and Jacquelyn married in 2018 and moved to South Central Oregon to join Abiding Place World Missions HQ. They have since aided in launching a local school and after-school program. The couple has also pioneered youth ministry and youth discipleship. They oversee the APM Summer Camp and love every minute of it! It is their passion and pleasure to raise a generation of youth fueled by love, confident in their identity, connected with a community, and burning with vision.
THE NEED
Today’s generation of youth is facing severe challenges; Challenges such as food scarcity, sexual assault, domestic violence, drug and alcohol abuse, homelessness, and neglect in many forms. Additionally, the progression of technology and social media has limited tangible human interaction and increased self-image issues, cyberbullying, apathy, depression, anxiety, exposure and exploitation of sexual content, and even suicide. There is a gaping hole for love, identity, community, and vision in many children and teenagers today, and it is our hearts to fill that hole!
MISSION STATEMENT
Our mission is to reach today’s youth and empower tomorrow’s leaders. We work to see transformation in the lives of youth by providing youth ministry, after-school programs, summer camps, mentorships, and the Abiding Place Christian Academy. Each program is a place where young people can make life-changing connections, experience the love of God, discover vision, and enjoy fun experiences that will have a long-lasting positive impact.
VISION STATEMENT
Our vision is to raise a generation fueled by love, confident in their identity, connected with a community, and burning with vision; Resulting in a significant, compounding effect on our region, the world, and ultimately, eternity.
Meeting the need
YOUTH MINISTRY
Our focus with the youth is to build relationships that will turn into mentorships. We not only want to see them encounter the love of God but be empowered to live the abundant life God has for them. Youth ministry includes youth meetings, discipleship, outreach events, small groups, and one-on-one.
AFTER-SCHOOL PROGRAM
Many children in our region suffer from malnutrition, food scarcity, educational deficiencies, a lack of exercise, and foundational principles to succeed. Our after-school program provides a healthy meal, fun ways to exercise, academic support, and Biblical character development to help pave a brighter future for the children and our community.
SUMMER CAMP
Our summer camps are a week of transformation. Imagine a technology-free, fun-packed week full of mission-minded activities, purpose-driven messages, and unforgettable adventures. We introduce kids to sustainable agriculture, animal husbandry, survival skills, and team building. We receive reports from parents, relatives, and pastors that their children returned home significantly changed.
APM ACADEMY
Our school protects innocence and creates a safe place for kids to learn and flourish. We help provide superior education and experience for grades K-12.
